6063-T52
Architectural & exposed structures
Superior surface finish makes it the choice for visible structural elements — railings, trim, window frames, and architectural extrusions. Excellent anodizing response. Fully weldable with standard TIG/MIG processes.
6061-T6
General structural
The structural aluminum workhorse. Higher strength than 6063 with excellent weldability. Standard for frames, brackets, mounting plates, and any structural application where strength matters more than surface finish.

Building a frame or structure?
Start with 6063-T52 for anything visible — railings, pergolas, display frames. Use 6061-T6 when strength is the priority — welding tables, structural brackets, load-bearing members.
